Throughout the ages the prediction of Dajjal in the hadith of our beloved Prophet (saas) has puzzled the mind of Muslim scholars. Some believe it to be about a system, others consider Dajjal a tyrant who will terrorize humanity in the last age!
In one of the hadith of our Prophet (saas), he has drawn attention to the terrible scale of the strife of Dajjal in the words “Since the birth of Adam (as) till the advent of the Judgment Day there is no fitnah (tribulation) much greater than that of Dajjal,” and warned all people against this peril.
Whether the hadith point to a system or a man that can’t be said for sure but the signs of his emergence are truly around us. Here are the 10 signs Dajjal is here:
Adultery will be high: Adultery has increased to the extent that unmarried mothers give birth to every 4 out of 10 babies in US. This phenomenon has increased throughout the world to the degree that today children born out of wedlock are a common norm (recent Zardari Ayaan Ali saga).
Homosexuality will be accepted: Today despite the fact that homosexuality is condemned in all major religions and cannot be justified scientifically, it is being accepted throughout the world.
Dajjal will have with him fire and water, but in reality the fire will be cold water while that what appears to be cold water will in reality be a blazing fire: This might point to the materialistic ways of the present era where a man spends his whole life in the pursuit of wealth ignoring Allah and disobeying His commandments; indulging in racketeering only to find out that he will leave the world empty handed in the end!
People will stop offering the prayers (Salaah): This is a sign present everywhere today where people in their worldly pursuits ignore their duty to Allah every day!
Usury and bribery will become legitimate: Despite the ample evidence that modern banking system is exploitative and inhumane and despite the fact that interest is prohibited, today’s exploitative and haram banking system is the backbone of global economy.
Imbeciles would rule over the wise (Fools instead of true Religious Leaders): Wasn’t Mr. Zardari becoming the President of Pakistan an example of this! Nothing more needs to be said.
The rulers will be corrupt: No need to elaborate on that.
The liars and treacherous will be respected: In government departments today it is a common sight to see the honest officers and staff being mocked at while the dishonest money minters are not only the blue eyed boys of our corrupt rulers but also admired in the society due to their wealth
Innocents would be burned by smokeless fire: This hadith of our Prophet (saas) might refer to nuclear bombs. Perhaps just a trailer has been witnessed yet in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
The scholars will be hypocrites: The scholars of today too have found worldly wealth of greater value than their devotion to Allah. Maulana Fazl ur Rehman’s dodgy and money minting politics and Tahir ul Qadri lying over blasphemy law are just two small examples of the hypocrisy of the present era Ulemas.
