Though conspiracy theories are often scoffed down in Pakistan, the reality is there always does seem to be some kind of an attempt to malign us be it through terrorism, corruption and now for the least expected of all reasons, porn searches on internet, a crude bluff to the two hundred million Pakistanis most of whom don’t have an access to internet.

There is no doubt that there is a sizeable audience in Pakistan for watching adult material on internet yet how can a country where less than half the population has access to internet can be a world leader on such a notoriety.

More importantly how can the global media portray the news brought about by a propaganda website without a name or a publisher with such focus that Google itself had to step in to deny it.

This website displayed wrong information not only about Pakistan but also presented the rest of the Muslim world as leading porn searchers, second only to Pakistan. The beloved shining India on the other hand, though according to the actual data shown by Google has much higher porn searches was omitted from this website’s list, a fact conveniently ignored by corporate media.

Nevertheless the damage has been done and Pakistan once again has been brought into the media limelight with a bad name but the most disgusting thing might be that Pakistan has also been portrayed as a leader in the new phenomenon of what is termed as animal sex. A term previously unheard of and any sane Pakistani would be ready to bet that his average counterpart might ever have heard of it.

It is beyond any doubt that the authors of this notorious website had a grudge against Pakistan and the Muslim world and did the best they could to malign us as much as they possibly could but the fact always will be that Pakistanis and Muslims are a devout lot the majority of whom will never indulge in such notoriety and global media should check facts before reporting such crude bluffs.
