Pakistan has released the first batch of locally manufactured ventilators. The ventilators are entirely made in Pakistan. Currently, 1,603 ventilators are available at government hospitals treating COVID-19 patients.
“The first batch of ventilators consists of 8 to 10 ventilators. Three more designs of the machines are also in the final phase of development”, Science and Technology Minister Fawad Chaudhry said in his video tweet. The respiratory ventilator is a significant device needed to fight the coronavirus, and the production of the breathing apparatus will strengthen the health infrastructure of our country.
Prime Minister Imran Khan visited National Radio & Telecommunication Corporation (NRTC) at Haripur today to inaugurate the production facility of first-ever indigenously developed ventilators.
