Where To Stay In Thailand – Our Favourite Resorts & Hotels

Being a popular tourist destination, Thailand is packed with many awesome Islands and resorts to stay at all budgets. It can, however, be a bit overwhelming choosing where to stay, as there are so many options available. Having spent a lot of time in Thailand, we have put together this guide to our favorite Thailand Islands and accommodations. Where you should stay in Thailand depends on what you want to get out of your visit.

Where to stay in Bangkok

New Suan Mali Hotel

In Bangkok, we were not looking for a luxury stay. We chose to stay at New Suan Mali Hotel as it was very affordable. The best thing about this hotel was its location. As our main concern was shopping for which New Suan Mali Hotel was the best option. It was near to all city shopping malls.

We used Grab mobile app and metered taxi for visiting nearby places. Going to shopping malls on daily basis had cost us only 60 to 80 THB.

So if you are looking for a central area in Bangkok from where all places are nearby then New Suan Mali Hotel is for you.

Where to Stay in Phuket

The Village Coconut Island

We wanted to spend a luxurious and peaceful holiday in Phuket, so we decided to go for The Village Coconut Island. The resort was secluded and private, and the service was over-the-top amazing. We spent the two nights on 2 bedrooms pool villa which offered multiple luxury amenities including a huge private pool and a balcony with an awesome view. The beachfront of the resort was stunning and beautiful. Moreover, it was an ideal base for water activities.

This resort is an ideal choice for people searching for peace, quiet, a place to switch off and relax.

Where to Stay in Koh Phi Phi

Bayview/ Arayaburi Resort

You may have seen or heard of  a movie “The Beach”. This is the Island where this movie was made. This Island was an absolute paradise. At Koh Phi Phi we planned to do some water activities. We stayed at Bayview Resort which was located on beachfront and it was also near to Koh Phi Phi nightlife. Rooms and villas were 3 stars and very cheap. This resort had the best beach out of all the beaches I had visited.

Bayview resort is definitely the best choice for a person who wants to do water activities or looking to enjoy the Koh Phi Phi nightlife.

Where to Stay in Koh Phangan

Panviman Resort

If you are a fan of infinity pools and jacuzzi then this resort is for you. Our visit to this resort was memorable. It was something out of a magazine. On arrival, we received a traditional warm welcome. Our villa had a private pool and jacuzzi with an incredible ocean view. The bathroom was the biggest I’ve ever seen in my life. Bathrooms this big need plumbers to fix problems like sink gurgling when toilet flushes when it happens. They may also conduct drain inspection services especially if there are clogged drains. The food was excellent and delicious. Each and everything in this resort was perfect. Moreover, the resort has more to offer; from kayaking to speed boating.

I will highly recommend this resort to newly wed couples and families.

Where to Stay in Koh Samui

Samui Le Reve Resort

At Koh Samui, our aim was to discover Island instead of staying all day at the resort. So we wanted to pick a resort which had a central location and an affordable price tag. Samui Le Reve was the solution to our problem. This resort turned out to be very cheap, friendly and peaceful. The Resort owners were very friendly and they helped us out of the way at multiple times by getting us a rental car and dropping us to pier early morning. Our stay at Koh Samui was one of the best. kudos to Samui Le Reve. We can assure you that you will experience one of the best resort services that you can find here in the Koh Samui.

If you are on the budget or looking to save money then this resort may be your best choice.
