Ever since the success of Humsafar, Mahira Khan has been launched on an avalanche of success! And since news arrived that she will be cast alongside Shahrukh Khan in Raees, it seemed the actress will never look back.

Like her fellow Pakistani actors in Bollywood, Fawad Khan and Ali Zafar, Mahira too has acquired similar fame among the Indian masses.

But finally she too has become embroiled in a controversy in Bollywood, ever since she refused to do an intimate scene with Nawazuddin Sidiqui, in which Sidiqui’s character attempts to strip and rape her!

Mahira’s character was Nawaz’s glam doll in the film before Miyanbhai swept her off her feet. And that wasn’t a very happy relationship. The sex scene is pretty edgy, dark and somewhat brutal which has Nawaz forcing himself on her”.

The scene was a little too unsettling and difficult for Mahira Khan, who flatly refused to shoot it. She is, however, not the first Pakistani celebrity who has refused to shoot an intimate scene in a Bollywood flick. Pakistani actor Fawad Khan also refused to shoot intimate scenes with Alia Bhatt for Kapoor and Sons.

Let’s just hope this doesn’t dampen Mahira’s future Bollywood career!
